The actual name of the performance is "Vietnamese Fork Water Puppetry". The performance was officially certified during year of 1121 under the Ly Dynasty.
The puppets are manoeuvered using bamboo poles as can be seen above.
I pity the performers though, as they have to stand in waist deep water for hours. (There is more than one performance a day)
